Book Room #14: Amy Jones

The 14th Book Room episode finds me in Thunder Bay, Ontario - one of the most beautiful communities you will visit, unless you already live there, like Amy Jones, my latest guest in the room.

Amy Jones is the author of the 2009 Metcalf-Rooke Award-winning collection short fiction, What Boys Like, and other stories (Biblioasis). She lives and works in Thunder Bay, and I caught up with her there in October when I was in town doing some outreach for the Ontario Arts Council.

We talk about drinking in graveyards, urban bears, and dreams of escape. Enjoy.

This photo of Thunder Bay's majestic Sleeping Giant and Lake Superior was taken from the Book Room. Nice view, huh?
